Oh goodness, Matt - I don't agree with what your mom did/said - At some point, I just might speak to my position on all this, but my post is primarily about this situation with a new kind of neighbor, and I want you to know that my GK will be loved despite any choices that he makes. We have 2 adopted kids. Both took serious personal nose-dives after hitting age 18. My older one, my daughter, has come through it all and gotten her life together and we have a great relationship. Though distant, my son, birth-dad to my GK, has been doing well too.
